There's No Place Home

Above are a few pics of William and Daddy the night before Will and I went to Kansas. There was really bad weather the day before we were flying out so our flight got delayed a few hours from 7:30a to 9:30am. Needless to say, I was not too upset! :)

We got to the airport 30 minutes before the flight was scheduled to take off and about 15 of those minutes I spent looking like a hot mess in the security line. I decided I was not going to give in the airport's $20 per checked bag and was going to just carry everything on. Smart Steph, reeeeaaaaallll smart. I had a stuffed diaper bag, backpack full of William's necessities (glo worm, monkey, blanket, coat, etc), 1 small roller luggage and of course, William. I have decided that I will NEVER travel alone with a 4 month old again. William did really good. He never cried or threw any fits. I, on the other hand, felt like crying because I am extremly out of shape and my poor physique was put on display for all to see as I went SUCKING WIND through the airports. Austin to Dallas, 2 hr layover and then Dallas to Wichita.

Finallly, we made it and all was well in the world. It had turned to a cold world though....

The weekend flew by! We went to Grandma and Grandpa Henderson's house Friday. William had a pretty good freak out Friday evening where he wouldn't stop crying but I was finally able to get him calmed down. Saturday was Stacy's B-day so we just hung around Dad and Cindy's house until dinner time and Will played with his new favorite toy.

We met up with everyone again that night and really had a good time (despite being lied to by the restauant and them NOT having the KU/KState game on).
Sunday we had brunch with Grandma, Grandpa and Stacy before we headed out. It was a great weekend that was not long enough but we will be going back for a longer visit in June for my reunion. Until then, hopefully Mommy's tramatic experience will all feel like a dream. :)
