Mother's Day

We were in Beaumont this weekend for a wedding so Mother's Day was pretty much spent in the truck driving home. TJ had a card hidden in the glove box and he gave it to me once we were on the road. It was a little card from William (made by his Mimi) and has his little hand prints in it. It was soo cute and of course, tears!

William did great on the trip to and from Beaumont. As usual, he did not want to go to sleep Friday and Saturday night because we were hanging out with friends and he knew there was something fun going on and he was NOT about to miss it! :) Both nights I think he went to bed around 10:30-ish.

The wedding we went to Saturday was for TJ's friend Tom Loftus. I ended up knowing the bride. She worked for a title company that we used to send all of our business to when I worked in Bmt. We had a great time at the wedding and the reception. I was excited to be able to drink and was really planning on cutting loose but that didn't happen. I guess I am just not interested in more than two drinks anymore. After not drinking for 9 months, I guess I just got used to it. Now when I have two beers, I get SO tired. Oh well, no real loss there I guess. :)

I left William with my mom Saturday. She watched him from about 1:30-9:30p. She loved it! She showed up with bags of toys and she said that he just bounced around from toy to toy. Grandma and Grandpa Malan said he loved Muffin the best (their little dog)! William definitely loves the dogs!

Will seemed to have a great time this weekend with his family. He sure took to his Aunt Shiny! Kisses and everything!! :) Can't wait to go back and see everyone again. A weekend is just not long enough especially with a 4 hr drive and an 8 month old! Whew.

On the way back to Austin, we stopped off in Smithville, where TJ spent his childhood. We dropped by their old house and tooka few pics with William in front of it. We also stopped off at a little diner in Bastrop to have lunch. William had the puffs! :)
